A longstanding clinical interest of mine has been the challenges faced by people aged 18-30, known in psychological literature as the period of Emerging Adulthood. The challenges of this period include education, identity exploration, career concerns, partnering and changing relationships with one’s family of origin. I keep abreast of continuing research in this area via the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood.
